Dear Jennie

*SALES ARE NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT*

Dear Jennie,

A small summary for those who haven’t heard: you’re in danger of losing your studio space, The Workshop Mpls, unless you’re able to raise enough money to buy the building. This is distressing on many levels for many people, as The Workshop Mpls has become a community hub that honours all the values that we share: inclusion, community, and a safe space for all who enter. We understand what it means to create a community like you have. And we want to help.

Once upon a time, before we became friends, you were a huge part of us being able to buy the building that is now our studio, and also a hub for our community. When Shall We Knit held Studiopalooza, a fundraiser for us to build or buy a new space to dye in, we walked into the shop and found that you had made SO MANY tumblers and bowls with squirrels and dragonflies and yarn and we were overwhelmed.

So now it’s our turn.

We made a donation to your Gofundme campaign, and hope that others will too. But that’s not enough for us. Not enough to express how grateful we are that you helped us when we really needed it. Not enough to express how important you and your studio are to us. It’s just not enough.

So we’re doing what we do when funds need to be raised for a cause or a person that we love. We’ve dyed a special colourway for your studio. Or, you know, two. Because we are nothing if not overachievers!

Introducing Potter’s Field and A View to a Kiln.

Both are inspired by your pottery. The pieces we own and use every single day. We took your colours and arranged them into a “Jennie rainbow”.

Potter’s Field is mostly cream coloured, like the Rhinebeck mugs that fly off your shelves every year. A View to a Kiln is simply the rainbow on its own.
We will be donating 25% directly to The Workshop Mpls, because we think that’s the best way to get the money where it needs to be as quickly as you need it.

These colours will go up for sale today at noon eastern time, and are available for pre-order on Platypus Sock and R.O.U.Sport. Yarn will be dyed and shipped within 3 to 5 weeks of your order. Want another base? Email us at orders@indigodragonfly.ca and we will make it happen!

And yes Jennie, we’ve already put aside skeins for you which we will bring to Nash Yarn Fest, where we’ll see you next.

Until then, my friend, remember we’ve got you.

Love,

Kim, Ron, and Victoria
