Dear Stephanie,

Happy Birthday's Eve! Have you noticed we try to make this post happen as close to your birthday as possible every year? We're just like that. (If you're not Stephanie, this is your cue to go here and donate directly to her ride).

A few weeks ago, Ron asked for colour inspo from Team Knit: Ken, Jen, Fenner, and you, with a special shout out to Cam, who isn't able to participate this year. This one caught our imaginations immediately (thank you Ken!)

It gave us energy and a sense of excitement. Fire. Power. Strength. Passion. All things you need to do that thing you do every year: ride a bike 600 kilometres to raise funds for one of our favourite, life affirming charities: Toronto People with AIDS Foundation. The 27th Annual Toronto PWA Friends For Life Bike Rally in support of people living with HIV/AIDS will hit the road from August 3 to 8, 2025, with participants riding from Toronto to Montreal. The work they do to provide services and wellness support to people living with AIDS is something we're proud to support. 

Introducing Spoken Four:

Spoken Four is a long variegated yarn that loves garter stitch, seed stitch, and other textured stitches, or working side by side with similar colours to create a fade or stripes. The colour way is multilayered with overlapping shades of scarlet, raspberry magenta,  tangerine and some shadowy magic to add dimension.

We hope it inspires you and fills you with joy when you look at and work with it. We want it to reflect some of the beautiful traditions of the Bike Rally like Red Dress Day and lighting lanterns to memorialize friends who've passed. We're hoping it channels sunshine, especially in that final leg so that Fenner gets to ride into Montréal and feel the satisfaction of finishing a really hard thing. 

Since this year’s ride is ending August 8, sales will remain open until the end date of the ride. 25% of the proceeds from each skein of Bike Rally yarn will be donated to the 2025 members of Team Knit: Ken, Jen, Fenner, and you, with a special shout out to Cam, who isn't able to participate this year.

We're offering Spoken Four in four bases:

    • Linen Silk Lace (65% silk/35% linen; 681 m/745 yds per 115 g skein)
    • MerGoat Sock (80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon; 365 m/400 yds per 115 g skein)
    • Platypus Sock (75% superwash merino/25% nylon; 423 m/463 yds per 100 g skein)
    • Merino Nylon Sock (80% superwash merino/20% nylon; 356 m/390 yds per 100 g skein)

Pre-orders are now up on the website, with orders shipping approx. 4-6 weeks from ordering.
