
To fashion its unusual shape, this shawl is worked top down from one corner with increases every row along one edge. The basic textures—a mix of ribs and welts—create interest and show off a semisolid yarn.
Finished Size: 44 (60)" wide along neckline and 22 (28)" deep on longer side.
Yarn: Indigodragonfly CaribouBaa (100% superwash merino; 435 yd [398 m]/31/2 oz [100 g]): nary pewter and the chalice of zinc, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size 2 1/2 (3 mm): 32" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 30 sts and 40 rows = 4" in Rib 2 chart patt.
