Bumbletee kit

In this virtual course we'll draft a made-to-measure version of Bumbletee, the 2026 Not-So-Mysterious KAL sweater using templates to guide you through the math, and calculators to help with the more complex portions of the math.

Bumbletee is a modular compound raglan t-shirt with hexagonal hems on the body and sleeves, and a slightly rounded hexagonal neckline. The randomized textured stitch pattern works well with short variagated and speckled hand dyed yarns. This sweater is knit bottom up in pieces, and seamed. Blocking and seaming this t-shirt will be taught in this course.

Course dates: every Wednesday from April 29 to June 3, 7 to 9 pm Eastern
+ up to 2 tutorial sessions, as needed

All sessions will be recorded and available within a few days of each session.
All recordings and course materials will be available to you for an unlimited time.

In this course you will learn:

  • measurements and ease for raglan sweaters
  • building your raglan schematic
  • using templates, how to draft the body and sleeves of a raglan sweater for your measurements and ease preferences
  • washing/blocking your sweater
  • seaming your sweater
