Collidascope is intended to be knit using colourways with 7-13 cm/3-5 inch lengths of colour. These colourways tend to pool in awkward and unusual ways. Instead of working to avoid this pooling, here we use that patterning to advantage, creating a topography across the hand.

Concept
React to colour shifts in your yarn as they happen for a unique and textured piece that’s different with every skein of yarn.
In this pattern, you will not follow a chart or specific stitch pattern. Instead, you will change your stitch pattern as the colours in your yarn shift. This pattern is designed for yarns that contain three distinct colours. Each colour will represent a “segment”. Each segment has a different stitch pattern assigned to it.
